Zohar Zisapel: Pioneer of the High-Tech industry dies at 74

Zohar Zisapel was an Israeli businessman who lived from February 15, 1949, to May 19, 2023. Yehuda Zisapel, Zohar’s older brother, established a modest, private company that specialized in the marketing of data communications technologies in the middle of the 1970s. In the latter half of the 1970s, Bynet disseminated data communications goods all over the world in Israel.

After leaving the Ministry of Defense in 1981, Zohar Zisapel co-founded RAD Data Communications Ltd. with Yehuda. In tiny, claustrophobic quarters in the back of Bynet’s headquarters, Zohar oversaw the creation of RAD’s first item, a tiny modem that would completely alter the market. Each company was autonomous and did not have a controlling company, but they were all managed by a same overarching strategy plan.
