In the latter half of the 1970s, Bynet delivered data communications products throughout Israel, all of which were produced outside.
Zohar Zisapel left his position at the Ministry of Defense in 1981 and co-founded RAD Data Communications Ltd. with Yehuda. Zohar oversaw the creation of RAD’s initial product, a tiny modem that would completely alter the industry, working out of tight, claustrophobic quarters in the back of Bynet’s buildings. Without a parent company, each company worked autonomously, yet they were all managed under a single overarching strategic plan.
