Zodiac Killer Suspects And Why Is He Called Zodiac Killer?

The Zodiac killer is an American serial killer who is believed to have murdered a number of people in North Carlifornia between 1968 and 1969. He is known to have targeted at least seven people, three couples and a taxi driver.

Two of them survived the attack meted out on them. However, the same killer has been connected to about 28 murders, though there are speculations that there could be more.

The highlight of the news about the Zodiac killer was perhaps his letter and calls to the police. His letters contained cryptogram or ciphers which ought to be deciphered.

The name Zodiac was as a result of how the killer identified himself in his letters. The Zodiac killer justified his killings because he was collecting slaves for the afterlife.

Some researchers suspected that the one behind the killings is Allen Leigh Arthur. However, there was no proof that he was the killer. This year, a team claims that Gary Francis Poste may have been the serial killer.

Other suspects who have been connected to the killings made by the serial killer are Ross Sullivan, Lawrence Kane, Robert Ivan Nichols, and some others who were later ruled out by the police as not being the Zodiac killer.
