Jilani breathed his last in a Lucknow hospital. The lawyer’s son broke the news of his demise to the media. Jilani’s son revealed that he passed away at a local hospital today following a lengthy battle with an illness.

Zafaryab Jilani Death Cause And Obituary
Senior Advocate Zafaryab Jilani died on 17 May 2023 in a local hospital after a lengthy battle with an illness. All India Muslim Personal Law Board secretory’s son, Najam Zafaryab, confirmed the news to PTI.
Najam said his dad passed away around 11:50 am following a long illness. The grieving son also revealed that the prominent’s lawyer’s last rites would be performed at Aishbagh cemetery in a Lucknow cemetery on Wednesday evening.
Jilani has been in the news for the past three decades. He was not involved in politics. Zafaryab Jilani is best known for continually advocating for the Muslim side in the Ayodhya conflict.
Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, the late lawyer was appointed the convenor of the Babri Masjid Action Committee.
Senior cleric Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali is among the well-known people who have expressed their sorrow over the death of Jilani.
According to senior cleric, Zafaryab Jilani contested the Babri Masjid case in a number of courts and served as the convenor of the Babri Masjid Action Committee.
In addition, Zafaryab was also the secretary of numerous educational institutions. “I pray to Allah that He forgives him and grants courage and strength to the people he has left behind,” added Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali.
He remained a key figure in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case. Senior Advocate Jilani argued before the Supreme Court in the Ram Janmabhoomi case as the Babri Masjid Action Committee convenor.
He had previously served as Uttar Pradesh’s Additional Attorney General.

Did Zafaryab Jilani Die Of A Brain Haemorrhage?
Zafaryab Jilani’s son, Najam Zafaryab, said he died after a protracted illness.
However, All India Muslim Personal Law Board secretary Zafaryab Jilani suffered a brain hemorrhage in May 2021 and was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow.
The senior advocate’s family disclosed that he was rushed to the hospital after he slipped and fell. He spent some time in the hospital.
“His treatment has begun, and doctors say his condition is stable for the time being,” he continued. They have said that an operation may be required, but for the time being, he is stable,” said the lawyer’s nephew to the Indian Express.
Although the lawyer’s death cause isn’t a brain hemorrhage, his health condition appears to have declined after he suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2021.
