Zachery Potts studied political science and government, sociology at Indiana University Bloomington from 2013 to 2017.
He worked as a campaign manager for Jackie Walorski from January 2017 to 2018.
Potts served as Vice Chair St. Joseph Republican Party between August 2018 and February 2019.
He subsequently acted in the capacity of a field representative for Jackie Walorski from December 2018 to January 2020.
Jackie Walorski served as a representative of Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District from January 3, 2013, till her death on August 3, 2022.
A member of the Republican Party, she was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing Indiana’s 21st district, from 2005 to 2010. She had been a member of the House GOP’s deputy whip team.
Walorski died at the intersection of State Road 19 and SR 119 near Nappanee in Elkhart County when a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed her car in a head-on collision.
Her car contained district director Zachery Potts, 27, and Emma Thomson, 28, who was Walorski’s communications director at the time of the collision. They all died on the spot.
