In an interview with PEOPLE, Zach and Kaity shed light on their post-engagement plans and their perspective on marriage.
At the moment, Zach, 26, and Kaity, 28, are focused on building their relationship and taking the time to truly get to know each other. They are in no rush to walk down the aisle. “Right now, the main emphasis is living together in Austin, getting to know each other more and more, and just see how things go,” shares Zach. Kaity echoes his sentiment, emphasizing that they have their whole lives ahead of them and there’s no need to hurry into marriage.
During the After the Final Rose special, Zach revealed to host Jesse Palmer that they have discussed the possibility of a wedding in 2025. However, Kaity mentions that their guest list might surprise a few Bachelor Nation fans. While she has formed strong bonds with several of the girls from the show, including Ariel, Gabi, Jess, and Mercedes, she acknowledges that their presence at the wedding might raise eyebrows.
As for Zach’s guest list, he plans to invite former Bachelor and mentor Sean Lowe, as well as his friends Ethan Kang and Nate Mitchell from Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey’s season of The Bachelorette.
Before the wedding planning begins, Zach and Kaity are eager to relocate to Austin, where Kaity has recently made her home. Zach anticipates that finding the right temperature for their apartment might be a point of contention. “I run hot, typically. She runs cold. So we have to find that middle ground,” he explains. Kaity humorously points out that Zach prefers a freezing house, while she prefers a warmer environment. However, they both emphasize their strong communication and teamwork, assuring that they will overcome any obstacles that come their way.
