He met Atlanta producer Nitti Beatz and the two recorded the hit “It’s Goin Down” in the spring of 2005. After teaming with Russell “Block” Spencer, founder of the Block Enterprises label, Spencer signed Joc to Sean Combs’s Bad Boy South for a multimillion-dollar deal, and Bad Boy released Joc’s debut New Joc City that year.

He was also featured on the songs “Show Stopper” by Danity Kane (from Diddy’s Making The Band 4) & Cassie’s album track Call U Out. He was on 2006 “Forbes’ Richest Rappers List”, ranking at #20, having grossed approximately $10 million that year. “It’s Goin’ Down” reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. The next single, “I Know U See It”, reached #17 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot Rap Tracks.

Yung Joc Love And Hip Hop

Love & Hip Hop star Joc is known for having different hairstyles – most of them are usually worn by middle-aged women.

Now Joc has a new hairstyle. And surprise – it’s also a hairstyle that many middle-aged women wear. Its called the “struggle ponytail.”

The Love & Hip Hop star’s ponytail is considered struggle because he has to pull hair extra tight – just to get that teeny tiny ponytail.

And his fans are making all kinds of jokes, about Joc’s new look. For example, some of Joc’s fans are saying that his ponytail looks like the end of a tied up trash bag.

Karlie Redd And Yung Joc|Yung Karlie Redd | Karlie Redd And Joc Married

Yung Joc may have been bae for a couple of seasons, but Karlie Redd really likes them low-cut ceasars with the deep-waves. (Destiny’s Child voice)

The bride-to-be (congrats again, sis) has a type and that doesn’t include anyone who shares her own qualities, such as laid edges apparently. The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star dropped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to speak about her past and present sexcapades with the New York radio giants.

Naturally, Karlie’s prior relationship with Joc was brought up when her recent engagement to her fiancé Maurice ’Mo’ Fayne was a topic of discussion. The convo switches gears to Joc’s iconic hairstyles where Karlie says, “The original Joc” is her favorite look of his. As a Bronx girl, she likes that tape-up fade and all of that “perm” stuff isn’t really rocking for her.

“At first I thought he was wearing lace front wigs so I had to look closely,” she admits adding that she even asked her former flame, “Yo, you really grew your hair out like that? ’Cause I didn’t think guys really [let their hair grow that fast.]” It wasn’t until she pulled on his 1945 Sinatra-hairdo that Karlie realized those are Joc’s actual tresses. She may not have been into it at first, but of course, it’s still all love.

To hear about the crazy things that go down in Karlie’s bedroom and more, check out the full interview above. Oh, and shout out Joccy with the good hair! We see you taking your daily dose of Biotin.

Yung Joc Forbes | Forbes List | On Forbes List

While topping Forbes’ Richest Rappers list might seem like quite the feat, Atlanta rapper Joc says topping that particular list in 2006 turned out to be “the worst thing that could have ever happened” to him.

The former Bad Boy South artist made it to the #20 spot on the list and says that the publication revealing that he made $10 million in one year put him on bad terms with a lot of people, including family members.

Joc even went on to compare his issues with friends and family following the release of the list to a skit on “Chappelle’s Show.”

“That was the worst thing that could have ever happened for me,” Yung said. “That Forbes list shit. You had people who may have come to me and asked to borrow $1,000. And where I was able to give them $1,000. After that shit came out niggas was hitting me like ‘Damn, my nigga, I asked you for a stack. You could have gave me 10.’ What? You know what I’m saying? People was looking at it like ‘Damn, you been short changing me all this time. Damn, my nigga, you asking for deals and shit. You asking for me to show you some love and give you the hookup. And you made 10 million?’ It made people really upset with me, dog. I never seen no shit like this in my life.

“It’s almost like when Dave Chappelle did that skit on the show of his self,” he added. “And he went in to get a haircut and it was like $1,000 for a haircut. Everybody was overcharging em because they knew he had did that 40, 50-million-dollar deal…Even family started looking at me differently. Like ‘Damn, you ain’t did nothing for me and you made $10 million?’ It was just the worst thing ever, Vlad.”

Yung Joc later detailed how he was able to earn $10 million in the span of one year. According to the College Park, Georgia rapper, touring provided a great deal of income.

“By the time ‘It’s Going Down’ had took off I was on like two, three tours at one time,” Joc said. “Going to a city and you do a daytime show for some kids and these people pay you 20, 25,000. And then at night you do the arena for the adults…And you talking about you look up and I’m getting 30,000. It’s like 50,000 in one day. You do the math. It really wasn’t hard. But just as fast as the money was coming, the money was going because you still had to promote yourself. I feel like that’s why I was successful the way I was. I ate a very long time. I’m still eating. I get publishing checks monthly, quarterly. You know what I’m saying? So, it wasn’t hard.”

Yung Joc’s Man Bun Is Giving Us Life…And Social Media Jokes

Updated on: 11 December 2018.

Over the last few years, Joc catapulted into the meme world after debuting his straightened and coifed hairstyle. Now the internet is coming back for more after the “It’s Goin’ Down” rapper displayed his freshly faded hair featuring a super neat man bun.

Take a look for yourself at his new ‘do.

Although we think BARBERQUEEN did an excellent job with his fade, and Korey Finney played no games with his line up, sadly, social media was not feeling the man bun vibes.

Love & Hip Hop ATL: Yung Joc Proposed To Kendra Robinson “She Said Yes”

Joc proposed to his girlfriend Kendra Robinson, and she said yes.

The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star has been dating Kendra, who is an attorney, for a couple of months and now they’re getting ready to walk down the aisle. The rumors of their engagement started circulating from back in April of this year, and now it’s confirmed on the latest episode of the hit reality TV show aired on Monday (July 15). The entire cast was on hand to witness the proposal, and Kendra’s mother popped up on the scene.

“Excuse me y’all. Y’all may not know who this lady is, but I know who she is,” Joc said. “If everybody would just take off their mask and just give me their blessing at this moment. I would really really appreciate it.”

Yung then took a giant diamond ring out of his back pocket and went down on his knee. By that time, Kendra was shedding some happy tears, and the rest of the Love and Hip Hop cast started clapping.

“All of these things are still swirling around in my head about the things I heard, but after listening to him laying out it all out on the line and telling me that am the only one he wants to be with, and he has proven it by giving me this ring,” Kendra said. “Am able to understand that Jacil is for me and he is ready to be my husband, he is ready to take that big leap.”

There have been some rumors claiming that Yung Joc is still hooking up with his ex-girlfriend Karlie Redd and she has even tried to break up his relationship with Kendra and got called out by Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta fans for it.

Joc also shows off their engagement ring on the Gram. “Had to Put her #hotgirlsummer on ice #shesaidyes,” he wrote.
