Playing Online Games and Watching Others Play Online games are two activities that have grown into a gigantic industry since its inception. There are a plethora of success stories of people who have become millionaires by playing online games.

Yamimash is a Youtube gamer who has had the world at his feet. He started uploading videos in 2009 and started to attract a huge number of fans. However, in early 2016, controversy erupted. This led to a series of events that saw her fame grow and plummet until it was almost non-existent. However, he began to piece together the pieces of his dismal career in early 2017.

Yamimash’s bio

Youtube player Yamimash was born Aaron Ash on August 25, 1991, somewhere in the UK. When he started uploading videos in 2009, he started playing only God of War 3. However, he later added Call of Duty to his gaming portfolio. In his early days, Yamimash didn’t like comments much and didn’t bother in his videos. But, as the industry started to evolve, he decided to give it a try and it sparked the interest of his fans.

In 2012, Yamimash decided to expand its portfolio beyond a two-game channel. He started trying other games and his popularity skyrocketed again. Even with the growing number of games he has played, his preference has always been towards horror or horror-related games such as Slim, Blood Moon Dream, White Noise, Hotel 626, MAZE etc.

However, “Mash”, as he is affectionately called by his followers, didn’t just play scary games. Its catalog of games also includes videos for games like Minecraft and Pokémon. Yamimash also provides a facecam on almost all of its gameplay.

He is mainly a solo game player, however, he has done some collaborations with some of his fellow Youtube gamers. He did a lot of co-op with his friend Edge. They recorded a total of 20 video episodes for the Bloody Trapand game. They also collaborated on the Youtube series where they played the horror game Slendytubbies. Their collaboration on Terrariums only lasted two episodes.

Another person Yamimash has collaborated with is his friend Shane, known as AaroInTheKnee. He was Yamimash’s roommate. They played games like Minecraft, Legend of Zelda, and YOGBOX together. His Minecraft series with AaroInTheKnee is the longest he’s ever uploaded, spanning over 50 videos. At some point, they were joined by fellow horror game friend and teammate Markiplier. Yami, Edge and Markiplier also starred together in his series for Slendytubbies.

Girlfriend?

There is no public information available regarding Yamimash’s dating history. The online gamer has been dating fellow Youtuber Jessica (JessIsAwesomexo) since mid-2013. Yamimash is six years older than Jessica. This is a point that a minor percentage of his fans and Youtube visitors consider inappropriate. However, the overwhelming majority of his fans don’t mind this, as they are both legally adults.

Controversies and scandals around Yamimash

By the end of 2015, Yamimash’s channel had hit 1,300,000 subscribers and garnered over 250 million views. However, 2016 started on a sour note that ultimately put his career on a downward spiral. On January 2, 2016, fellow Youtuber Keemstar posted a video on his channel claiming that Yami had sent pictures of his genitals to a 14-year-old girl. Yamimash was 24 at the time. Keemstar, in his video, said he received statements from the girl and her mother during a Skype call and that they verified everything she said with the police, the services of child protection, etc.

This caused a stir and polarized the opinions of its supporters. However, the majority of them refused to deny Yami’s integrity and defended him by saying the whole situation was a setup. Three days later, on January 5, 2016, Yamimash uploaded a video titled “My Side Explained”. In the video, he was with his girlfriend Jessica. He admitted to having conversations with the girl and even flirting a little. However, he made it clear that nothing of a sexual nature happened between them and he didn’t send any nude photos. His girlfriend Jess also supported him. Moreover, no evidence of the images was presented by either the girl or her mother.

He accused the girl of being an attention seeker looking for a way to bring him down. However, he acknowledged his part in the debacle and apologized for it.

Yamimash Now: What happened to him?

Yamimash partially withstood the stormhim with scandal and tried to keep his career alive. He continued to upload videos and stick to his schedule. Unfortunately, in the months that followed, his subscriber growth stalled and his viewership slowed significantly. He started getting lazy and depressed and soon he was not meeting his video upload schedule. At some point in 2016, he stopped posting videos.

He eventually uploaded a video on February 11, 2017, titled “My Channel is Dead” where he spoke about how the events of the past year had stressed him out and left him depressed and unable to carry on. He further assured his fans that he has finally turned a corner and will return to Youtube full time.

Unfortunately for Yami, her relationship did not survive the events of the past year. A month later, he released another video in which he revealed to his fans that he and Jessica had broken up and he was moving back to his mother’s house. On March 5, 2017, he uploaded a video explaining how he wanted to socialize more and do things with his life besides Youtube.

Yamimash has since returned to Youtube on all cylinders, as he uploads an average of six videos per month. On April 1, 2018, he uploaded a video titled “I quit.” His fans were scared he was leaving YouTube, but it turned out to be a hilarious April Fool’s joke.
