Winston Marshall Wiki – Winston Marshall Biography

Winston Marshall is the lead banjo guitarist and one of the founding members of the British band ‘Mumford & Sons’. He has been credited as Country Winston and WN5TN on the Mumford & Sons albums ‘Sigh No More’ and ‘Wilder Mind’.

Before the founding of Mumford & Sons, Marshall hosted an improv night at Bosun’s Locker, a small music club under a patisserie on King’s Road in Fulham, where musicians with a penchant for earthy acoustic music played among themselves. Before ‘Mumford & Sons’, he was part of the band ‘Captain Kick and the Cowboy Ramblers’, a seedy bluegrass rap band, in which he was credited as Country Winston and played banjo and guitar.

In October 2013, he joined a temporary supergroup called ‘Salvador Dalí Parton’ with artists Gill Landry from ‘Old Crow Medicine Show’, Mike Harris from ‘Apache Relay’, Jake Orrall from ‘JEFF the Brotherhood’ and Justin Hayward- Young of vaccines’. The band, planned as a joke from the start, composed six songs in 20 minutes on their first day together. And he performed six shows in Nashville, Tennessee, the following night before parting ways.

Mumford & Sons guitarist called ‘fascist’ for lauding ‘neo-Nazi’ author Andy Ngo’s book

Winston Marshall, lead guitarist and banjo for the Grammy Award-winning British folk-rock band Mumford & Sons, is now being criticized online for being a fan of ‘neo-Nazi’ author Andy NGO and his book ‘Unmasked’.

“Congratulations @MrAndyNgo. I finally had time to read his important book. You are a brave man,” Marshall posted on Twitter, along with a photo of the book. The conservative journalist’s book description reads: “A journalist who has been attacked by Antifa writes a deeply researched and reported account of the group’s history and tactics. When Andy Ngo was attacked on the streets by Antifa in the summer of 2019, most people assumed it was an isolated incident.

But those who had been following Ngo’s reports in outlets like the New York Post and Quillette knew that the attack was just the latest in a long list of crimes perpetrated by Antifa. In Unmasked, Andy Ngo tells the story of this violent extremist movement from the beginning. It includes interviews with former followers of the group, people who have been attacked by them, and incorporates stories from his own life. This book contains a treasure trove of documents obtained by the author, published for the first time. ”

As soon as Marshall’s publication on the “important book” came out, people began to criticize him. One internet user said: “Oh shit, I have to erase a decent band from memory. The one who plays the Mumford and Sons banjo confesses to being a Nazi far-right idiot who praises Ngo.” While another wrote, “I never knew Mumford & Sons (LOL!) Had a fascist in the band. Why do Nazi sympathizers make such horrible music? Hi Morrissey.”

While musician Steven Adam tweeted: “After spending years trying not to hate Mumford & Sons, it turns out that Winston is a fan of this neo-Nazi jerk and wants people to know it. I just feel a huge wave of relief.” And another said, “The Mumford banjo guy exposed like a Nazi sack of shit? I didn’t have this on my bingo card.”
