Winnie Nwagi falls out with lover over their daughter

The love-bubble between Winnie Nwagi and her baby daddy, Josh, has burst and the two are now not seeing eye-to-eye. Looking at the postings the Musawo singer is making online, the love between these two has vanished.

She is doing it with a lot of anger, not even fans who are pleading with her to calm down is making a difference as artists like Fille, Sheebah Karungi and Bruno K, who are faced with similar problems or grew up under such circumstances are fully in support of her actions.

Winnie Nwangi

Winnie fondly referred to her lover as #Detergent, a title to one of her love songs is so bitter that all Josh could provide was a mere cake on his daughter’s graduation.

Just like we saw Dorothy accusing Herbert Shonga of not paying school fees, Winnie Nwagi does the same;

“He is well paid, but very selfish of his own blood, can’t even pay school fees or any bills as far as she is concerned, how mean and then you come up with just a cake, I can buy my daughter a cake too!!”

It all started with their daughter, Destiny, who graduated from nursery and will with effect from next year be in class 1, just like Bebe Cool’s son, Cayman.

Winnie’s problem is that “Detergent” only bought a cake as she revealed on Snapchat;

“So after my daughter’s graduation, guess what I found a home, a cake from who? Happy Graduation day Destiny…from Dad.” I’m like!! ooh what a fool..! Is that all you can provide for your daughter, a cake, Winnie went on to the rant.

“Just stay away with your fake love….we don’t need his love here, we are not used to it and it’s very okay.” More of the rant here;

Winnie Nwagi ranting over her baby daddy

I’ve spent more than a cake on my baby, you need to bow down, stup!d thing, don’t send us your fake cakes, we are ok without you, leave us alone,” She concluded.

She, then, put this post; “My daughter is my everything, Her father was the mistake.”

Winnie, don’t let anger drive you, One fan commented. 100% Fille Muthoni added as Bruno K supplemented with this;

“Any man who can’t be there for his child is useless. I stand with my sister, Winnie, on this.” Bruno, you are also a man, you can’t judge him because you don’t know his story, another responded.

Sheebah Karungi who was raised by only her mom also joined the thread; “My Mama is everything, my Father was her damn mistake, I hear you Nwagi.

Winnie Nwagi Admits She’s looking for new men to date

Winnie Nwagi recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Rukundo Joshua following a vicious fight at home.

In a recent interview, Rukundo said he had been pushed to his limits, “I do not fight. I am a calm guy. Everyone knows it, but when I fought just know the reason was beyond me. I regret it though,” he said.

Now the two have since moved on to other things, Winnie says, “I am very happy with my current status. I am single and meeting new people. It is exciting. I am going to make new friends, and maybe someone new will come along, however you should note, it is not written anywhere that a woman should always be dating, I can decide not to,” she told us.

Winnie Nwagi Interview

Interview with BigEyeUg‘s Musa Seguya

Who is Winnie Nwagi?

Winnie Nwagi: Winnie Nwagi is a new artist in the industry who rose to fame after being 2nd runner up in the Coca Cola Rated Next competition. I am signed to Swangz Avenue music group. I have songs like Embeera, Gwenoonya, Katono Katono, Science, Kyowulira and Google ft. Kalifah Aganaga. And I recently won an award for the Best Breakthrough Artist of the year in the HiPipo Music Awards.

What one lesson did you learn from Coca-Cola Rated Next?

Winnie Nwagi: I learned a lot of things in the competition for example; I learned to believe in myself, and also be confident on stage despite the size of the crowd, to mention but a few.

How did it feel winning your first award at the HiPipo Music Awards last weekend?

Winnie Nwagi: Uh-mm… I was first shocked because I didn’t expect it, I thought it would be Nutty Neithan because he is good. But it surely felt so good.

Chameleone, Juliana, Bobi Wine didn’t win any award at HiPipo Music Awards last weekend, do you think they are fading and new blood is taking over?

Winnie Nwagi: I don’t think they have faded, but the young artistes also need to be appreciated. This year just wasn’t theirs, but they are still good and we continue to learn from them.

Fans compare you to Desire Luzinda how do you feel about that?

Winnie Nwagi: It feels good; she is a beautiful woman, and she is talented. But I am here to do good music and not to be compared to anyone. I also don’t compare myself to anyone, I am me!

What are your favorite local songs at the moment?

Winnie Nwagi: Linda by Rema ft. Chris Evans, Katono Katono by me, No love by Radio and Weasel ft. Wiz Kid, Double Trouble by Fille, Science by me ft. King Saha.

Who is your top four musicians?

Winnie Nwagi: David Lutalo, Rema Namakula, Lilian Mbabazi, and Irene Ntale. And others are also good but those are my top four.

What are your upcoming projects?

Winnie Nwagi: I am working on a song called Musawo and its video will be out at the end of the month hopefully.

Which local star would you like to collaborate with?

Winnie Nwagi: David Lutalo, he has great vocals that could match with mine. I would also love to work with Chris Evans.

Do you write your songs?

Winnie Nwagi: I haven’t released any songs that I have written myself, but I have them.

How did you come up with a collabo with King Saha?

Winnie Nwagi: He was my friend before I even joined the music industry. When I joined, I asked him to do a song with me and he agreed to it.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years to come?

Winnie Nwagi: I will be one of the best female artistes in Uganda and doing international doing collabos with international stars like Wizkid.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far in the music industry?

Winnie Nwagi: When you are still an upcoming artiste, you are undermined. I remember during Catherine Kusasira’s show at Freedom City, I was asked to perform my song Katono Katono because it was the song Catherine liked a lot, but when I stepped on stage, I first sang Embeera and while I was still introducing Katono Katono, the emcee asked the deejay to stop the music and I was bounced off the stage, I felt so irritated and I will never forget that moment.

How does it feel like working with a big label like Swangz Avenue?

Winnie Nwagi: It’ feels so good, I am not complaining. It is one of the best management and it has put me where I want to be, making me the person I am today.

You recently went on holiday to Dubai, did you find fans to your music abroad?

Winnie Nwagi: Yeah I did, there were so many fans asking me when I will be coming to perform yet it was just a holiday. They actually thought I had come to perform.

What is the relationship between you and the father of your child?

Winnie Nwagi: We are just friends, though we take long without talking.

We know that you are a single mom, describe the kind of man you would want in the future.

Winnie Nwagi: I don’t mind about the looks or swag, as long as you can love me the way I am and also accept my job, support me and love me the way I want. I don’t care about money.

Any celebrity crush?

Winnie Nwagi: Gaetano – I like everything about him, I love the way he talks, the way he expresses himself. He’s just so good. But it is just a crush, nothing more.

How do you deal with guys who want to vibe you?

Winnie Nwagi: I try to be polite. I say no in a polite way; I will be honest with you instead of wasting your time.

Any advice to the upcoming singers?

Winnie Nwagi: They should be patient. When it is not yet your time, it is not yet. God has a plan for you, everything will happen.

Any last words for your fans

Winnie Nwagi: I want to thank my fans for the love they show me and I promise them I won’t ever disappoint them. I am also introducing something new in my videos, in my previous videos I used not to include little dancing but I am rehearsing and I am going to start blending my videos with my dancing strokes. Just keep locked.
