Nevertheless, there have been some of the biggest blowups in the series’ whole history recently, and fans believe they may need to brace themselves for another. So, is Wilmer Valderrama leaving NCIS?
Why Is Wilmer Valderrama Leaving NCIS & Where Is He Going?
Although neither the network nor Wilmer Valderrama has confirmed Torres’ departure from NCIS, there are a lot of signals that this is the fact.
NCIS Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres is an indisputably significant component of the program, but no one was more crucial than Mark Harmon Gibbs, Torres’ mentor.
As you may be aware, Gibbs just left the series, and the current season has addressed the fallout and impact on Torres. Many fans’ imaginations quickly jumped to the idea of Torres dying in action after witnessing the NCIS special agent in the heart-pounding circumstance.
When you consider how occupied the actor is right now, this is perhaps more credible. In fact, he’s already on board a Disney+ project based on Zorro, and his production business has a lot of projects lined up, as per reports.
Wilmer Valderrama’s Instagram Post Explained
The speculations started, of course, when Valderrama wrote on Instagram about an intriguing great opportunity to portray Zorro in a live-action version of the show for Disney Branded Television, which is presently in production.
Several fans’ thoughts instantly went to the likelihood of Torres perishing in action after witnessing the NCIS special agent in the heart-pounding position, and many of his admirers responded, “please don’t die.”
Furthermore, some alert fans noticed that Wilmer’s Instagram isn’t tagged in the latest NCIS season 20 announcement. Others thought that if the actor left NCIS, it may be to seek other prospects.
What Happened to Wilmer Valderrama?
The Zorro possibility is a deeply concerning reason to fear the actor’s departure from NCIS, with CBR implying that he wouldn’t be able to work on both projects concurrently.
Likewise, they remark that NCIS’s tight production schedule has been linked to other actors previously taking leave.
If it does come down to a choice, it’s difficult to picture Wilmer wishing to forego the chance to play Zorro.
While there has been no statement on the NCIS front, the show’s management has a history of keeping exits under wraps. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
