In 2020, Depp had filed a lawsuit against News Group Newspapers and journalist Dan Wootton for calling him a wife-beater in the U.K. tabloid, The Sun.
At that time, the high court found the allegation to be substantially true. It was that time when Whitney had testified in her sister’s favor.
She had said that her sister Amber was abused when she was with the actor. She had noticed bruises and the marks of abuse on her sister one time.
