Davon Godchaux is a defensive tackle for the National Football League’s New England Patriots (NFL).
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, Davon played for the team for four years until 2020.

Davon Godchaux was arrested in September 2016 on charges of battery/endangering a child, domestic abuse, and false imprisonment, which were later dropped.
According to Associate Athletics Director Michael Bonnette, Davon was suspended indefinitely. The athlete was arrested at 5:10 a.m. Monday by East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s deputies. He was later released on bond.
His arrest came just hours after LSU fired head coach Les Miles and replaced him with Ed Orgeron on Sunday afternoon.
Due to inconsistent statements and physical evidence at the scene, the charges were dropped after two days, and Davon rejoined the team.

Davon Godchaux was once accused of abuse as his ex-girlfriend allegedly reported on the domestic violence by the athlete.
In this case, along with the “conflicting stories,” he was issued a misdemeanor summons for domestic abuse and battery/child endangerment, according to the police report.
Reports state that Davon had a “tussle” with her at his apartment on Nicholson Drive over “infidelity” in their relationship. According to her, Davon suggested the two separate, and she became “increasingly upset.”
She then tried to leave his apartment with the child before he grabbed her by the hair, then by the shoulder, and “tossed (her) backward near the couch,” according to the report.
Police noticed the victim’s swollen lip and red marks on her throat. Based on the reports, the athlete also had cuts on the inside of his mouth due to his braces.
