A Savannah surgeon, Mark Winchell, is arrested and expected to face charges in connection with a sting operation that targeted adults accused of soliciting sexual activity from youngsters on the internet.
Dr Mark Winchell, MD, has over 25 years of expertise as an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist in Savannah, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine with a medical degree in 1996.
He was arrested last week in Chatham County and spent the weekend in the county jail. The orthopaedic surgeon from Savannah was busted in a sting operation.

A sting operation involving dozens of law enforcement agencies in Lexington, South Carolina, resulted in the arrest of Mark Anthony. They were looking for persons who prey on youngsters for sexual pleasure in the covert operation.
Agencies and police officers dressed as girls under 18 and conversed with the alleged criminal daily. Officers conducted phone chats with the suspects, and the suspects even requested to meet the girl even though they were underage.
Suspects were apprehended after detectives predetermined the meeting site, and while conversing with the minor, sexually explicit language and photos were used, according to wtoc.
Also, according to Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon, the suspects used every legal method to entice an underage female to participate in sexual behaviour.
Officer Koon went on to say that the successful sting operation was the result of a collaborative effort between state, federal and local law enforcement.
Also, Attorney General Alan Wilson was committed to local law enforcement and made it possible to have a consistent staff available for the operation.
