Jelly Roll has been producing music for a very long time.
He began with hip-hop, moved on to rock, and is currently focusing on country music.
He spoke on The Bobby Bones Show to discuss his links to Nashville and country music and to share some of his personal history.
Though it isn’t his official name, his mother called him Jelly Roll when he was a young, “chubby kid,” and the moniker stuck.
With “Dead Man Walking,” Jelly Roll presently holds the top spot on the rock music charts.
He is thrilled about this. But lately, his attention has been on compiling a full-fledged country record.
Why is Jelly Roll named that?
According to him, “I was quite little when my mum first started calling me JellyRoll. I was subsequently introduced to the nickname JellyRoll by my friend One Arm Clay when I was in my early adolescent years, and it stayed. I’m from a culture where nicknames are given to you, not something you choose for yourself just because it sounds great.”
What is Jelly Rolls first name?
His first name is Jason.
