Gayle King had worn a boot after hurting her Achilles. Earlier his May, she was seen wearing very attractive pairs everywhere she went.
For three big events, King was seen in boots or mismatched shoes in New York City, making her fans go curious about her well-being.
The longtime CBS host wore a heel on one foot and a colorful clog on the other.
She told in an interview: “I went to bed on Saturday, and I woke up Sunday to go pee, and I don’t know what it is, but the minute I touched the floor, I crumbled. I think it’s my Achilles.”
The presenter has also stated that she is now recovering and is expected to wait for some weeks to get fully recovered.
What Did Gayle King Do To Her Foot?
Gayle King has been booted for foreseeable future, as per The People. She has tendonitis, a condition when a tendon swells leading to an injury.
The condition particularly happens due to overwork, however, can be treated with rest and care.
The CBS host had “hobbled in” to see her doctors after spending time in heels and shoes a month ago. She had shared a photo of her consulting with Dr. Nadia Levy.
Despite the injury, King is able to make it to various events. She walked with a limp and wore one clog and one high heel to the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Most Powerful People in Media luncheon on May 17, 2022.

Gayle King was married to William Bumpus from 1982 to 1993. Her ex-husband is a lawyer and is the assistant attorney general of Connecticut.
The couple also became a parent to Kirby Bumpus and William Bumpus Jr while they were married. Now, the 67-year-old is already a grandmother.
Her daughter, Kirby Bumpus, had given birth to a baby girl last year with her husband Virgil. She was diligently wearing her boot and a yellow sneaker to match her neon attire at the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore.
