From earlier statements, it was found that Chris had frequently aided Andrew’s senior political aides. This was a breach of ethics between journalism and law.
However, some private documents demanded severe answers.
Previously, CNN acknowledged Chris’s desire to aid his brother and even offered him to take a temporary leave so that he could focus on his brother’s defence politics more actively.
However, his constant involvement with his brother’s governorship and strategy session meetings proved a real headache to CNN.
In numerous emails and messages, it was later found out that Chris pleaded with the senior aides to let him ‘help with the prep’.
Chris Cuomo was frequently found to have been using CNN’s resources and reach to help give information to his brother’s aides.
At one instance, when Melissa DeRosa, a top aide for Andrew, asked if Chris could check his sources about a rumour that included additional accusations, Chris replied, “On it”.
Thus Chris was suspended because he used CNN’s networking reach and resources to aid his brother Andrew to defend against the sexual harassment accusations against the former governor.
