Beanie Feldstein revealed on Instagram that she would be leaving the Broadway show, Funny Girl. Contrary to what she had previously said, she would leave the program at the end of July.
She didn’t go into detail about the exact adjustments made to the production. Although there has been no official word about her replacement, there have been whispers going around for weeks that Lea Michele and Julie Benko, Feldstein’s role is under consideration by the producers. The producers have not confirmed the rumor.
Why Is Beanie Feldstein Leaving Funny Girl?
Beanie Feldstein appears to be dissatisfied with the directions, or perhaps something happened that has not yet been made public.
Feldstein stated in the article, “Playing Fanny Brice on Broadway has been a longstanding ambition of mine, and doing so over the past few months has been a great honor and a delightful thrill. “I took the very painful decision to move away earlier than anticipated after the production opted to take the show on a different path.”
“I will never forget this experience, and from the bottom of my heart, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who attended the August Wilson for their love and support of me and our incredible cast and crew,” Feldstein, who received decidedly mixed reviews in the eagerly awaited revival, continued.
