Rachell Marie Hofstetter, better known as Valkyrae, is an American live streamer and YouTuber. She is a co-owner of the gaming organization 100 Thieves and has been YouTube’s most-watched female streamer since 2020. Hofstetter began streaming on Twitch in 2015.
Why does Valkyrae stream on YouTube?
The 100 Thieves co-owner said that the big reason she signed a new deal is because she didn’t want to disappoint the fanbase she had worked so hard to cultivate over the last 48 months. She also admitted that there was an offer from Twitch to come back and that she thought about making the switch for a minute or two.
While working at GameStop, Hofstetter began sharing her gaming hobby on Instagram, gaining a following. After being encouraged by her followers, she started live streaming on Twitch in 2015.
Over the years, there have been more than a few people who have jumped from one to the other. Or at least threatened to change platforms when they were frustrated with the one they were with at the time.
