However, there is no report of her latest arrest on the internet.
Lindsey announced at the end of the year about her departure from YouTube. She essentially writes in a lengthy letter she made on Patreon. She stated that 2021 was the worst year of her life and how difficult it has been for her to move past the Raya and the Last Dragon issue.
She concludes her letter with: “And to everyone who tells me I need to toughen up or withdraw myself from the discourse entirely, you are correct. I don’t have the strength to accomplish the former, therefore I’ll do the latter.”
Ellis is a former video essayist and author from the United States. Much of her work was devoted to studying and criticizing films and other forms of media.
Lindsay was named presenter of The Nostalgia Chick, a Channel Awesome show inspired after the Nostalgia Critic, in 2008. Lindsay departed The Nostalgia Chick in 2014 to focus on developing video essays instead.
Her video essays are critical evaluations of various films, particularly Walt Disney pictures. Throughout her career, she has amassed over 1,200,000 subscribers, making her one of BreadTube’s most prominent individuals.
She is an author in addition to her video essays, having released her debut novel Axiom’s End in 2019. It was a New York Times top seller and earned excellent reviews.
Lindsay Ellis was fired from Twitter in March 2021 after sending a message equating Raya to Avatar and being accused of anti-Asian prejudice. She ended up temporarily deactivating her Twitter account before responding with a video a month later.
She also left YouTube in December as a result of frequent cancellations.
Ellis is married to her husband, Nick Hither. She and her spouse resides in Long Beach, California since 2019.
Lindsay Ellis’s Controversy With Moviebob On Reddit
Lindsay Ellis and many other users joked about the so-called “BreadTube elite,” being banned by other Twitter users. And the conspiracy theories in a lengthy discussion that began on November 10.
Then, on November 12, Ellis slammed Movie Bob aka Chipman, calling his behavior “very improper and weird.” Bob had allegedly snapped a selfie of them together from many years ago.”
Bob Chipman is a notable YouTuber, who creates content under the nickname “Moviebob” – also known as “The Game Overthinker.”
Ellis’ Twitter account claims that Movie Bob has upset her throughout the years by portraying a closeness between them when there has been none.
“This is really inappropriate and creepy. We are not friends just because we took a selfie at a convention some years ago. Also, the fact that I have soft blocked you six times and you still refollow is scary. Take a clue and leave me alone,” she replied to Bob.
She also openly stated on Twitter that she does not want “people thinking that I condone his type of toxicity.”
Since then Bob has deleted the selfie from the original post’s comment area, and his Twitter account is only viewable to followers. Nonetheless, someone took a screenshot of the in-question photo.
Ellis has continued to openly tweet about the rivalry. Ellis said in a series of tweets that Movie Bob’s “anti-fans harass her both in private and in public.”
Meanwhile, Ellis’s supporters and followers are having a field day sharing videos related to the continuing conflict.
