Why Does Dave Johns Wear A Hat In House Of Games?

Dave Johns wears a hat in House Of Games because it is a fashion statement for the actor. It could also be because the actor has few hair on his head.

The actor has gained significant attention with his breakthrough role in the 2016 Ken Loach film I, Daniel Blake as the title character, for which he won the BIFA for Best Actor in 2016.

Fans may also remember the actor for his frequent guest appearance with the Comedy Store Players on their improv program in London’s West End. He has toured with famous comedians Sean Lock and Johnny Vegas and has performed at Kilkenny, Melbourne, Adelaide, Montreal, and Edinburgh.

Moreover, the comedian has played in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest on The West End stage, starring Christian Slater. As a writer, he co-wrote the stage adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption, based on Stephen King’s novella.

Dave Johns Wears A Hat In Richard Osman’s House Of Games

Dave Johns sparked his charm by wearing a stylish hat while appearing as a guest in Richard Osman’s House of Games.

The British quiz show, produced by Banijay and hosted by Osman, welcomed Johns alongside Jasmine Harman, Jason Mohammad, and Professor Suzannah Lipscomb as the contestant on January 9’s five editions of the show.

Games are played weekly with four known personalities competing to win daily gifts and the weekly reward of being named “House of Games” champion. The celebrities play the games for five consecutive days.

In this week’s five editions, Dave provided the comedy content on the show. He is 66 years old, yet, his fashion sense, energy, and charisma are no less compared to a young man. He dazzled the crowd with his fashionable gray hat bonnet-type, matching zip-up hoodie, and blue jeans.

In the show, the comedian is up against award-winning author, broadcaster, and historian Professor Lipscomb, who was written and edited many books and presented multiple historical documentaries on television, and sports presenter and host of Final Score Mohammed.

Harman, a cheerful and shiny presenter of A Place In The Sun, completes the quartet. Before moving into television, she worked in the health and fitness industry.

His Married Life And Daughter

Dave Johns daughter Macey Johns is 17 years old. His loving child keeps him on his toes when it comes to his newfound fame, reported Mirror.

If people stop him on the street and ask him for a selfie, Macey rolls her eyes and says, “Oh Dad, man, it’s so embarrassing.” He also took her to see his 2020 film 23 Walks, despite the intimate scenes in the movie.

The father-daughter duo arrived in Newcastle to see the movie. The teen girl did say, “it better not be embarrassing!” The actor gently said that he would tell her when to close her eyes. “But It’ll be more embarrassing for me,” he added.

Over the years, Johns has cemented himself as one of the most respected and loved comedians serving on the British comedy circuit. He has performed immensely in festivals and comedy clubs in the United Kingdom and worldwide.

He has won multiple awards, including the 2016 BIFA for Best Actor. The comedian also amassed the Best Newcomer at the EMPIRE Awards and the Best Actor Award at the Dublin Film Critics Circle.

He further holds an impressive record in the theatre, contributing to the dramatization of the popular classic prison movie The Shawshank Redemption for the stage.
