Why Did Jackie Monroe Leave Evansville?

Jackie Monroe discussed her decision to leave Evansville with Randy on 14 News.

It was announced last week that 14WFIE news anchor Jackie Monroe was on medical leave for an unspecified reason. However, we now know that her absence was for a good purpose.

According to news director C.J. Hoyt, Monroe and her husband are expecting twins, and her absence is a result of that, according to Monroe. “She’ll go back to work soon after they’re born, but probably not for a couple of months,” Hoyt said. “She is relieved to be back since she misses the station and her job.”

She has spent the last eight years anchoring alongside Randy Moore.
