Dear Min @NathiMthethwaSA, don’t show up to the memorial of Mam Deborah Fraser, pretending you’re all in mourning.
You FAILED to protect her. You failed even after she had to BEG for COVID-19 relief funds.
Respect her family, stay home. #RIPDeborahFraserhttps://t.co/0TnDH7Y8Zl

She has had a few health scares since being diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago. She previously told Drum that she had sold some of her city residences and purchased a farm in Johannesburg’s south to live a healthier lifestyle.
The Christian Leadership Academy recently awarded Deborah a Doctor of Philosophy in Sacred Music. In a prior interview with Drum, she stated that she was not expecting the honor.
She acknowledged that the music industry has evolved from cassettes and CDs to the digital world of downloads, but she is grateful to be still relevant.
