Quarterback Season 2 Pat McAfee

The Quarterback Netflix season 2 has got a green light from Netflix. Peyton Manning revealed it on The Pat McAfee Show on 11th July.

Pat McAfee hosted the former NFL QB and five-time NFL Most Valuable Player for a detailed discussion about executing the docuseries.

Throughout the program, they talk about multiple facets like filmmaking, the personalities of three participating QBs, the on-field and off-the-field life, and many other things.

Manning states his side of the story. He states that he would not have the docuseries at a young age but would have been willing to work as an older QB.

They converse about the pressure of being a QB, handling the offense, taking on 300-pound players, making quick decisions, keeping the team together, leading them, and the ability to show commitment while tackling adversities.

They bring up the topic of the mental game, family commitment, and mistakes on the field. The balance between personal and professional life and many more things is discussed.

Manning candidly says that the series is not a distraction for the players. He brings out the example of Mahomes and his Super Bowl LVII win.

He also talks about the future venture. All in all, Pat, Peyton, and AJ have a good conversation, which you should give a listen to.

Netflix Quarterback Season 2 Cast

Quarterback Season 2 Quarterbacks might be Jimmy Garoppolo, Kyler Murray, Desmond Ridder, Jared Goff, Deshaun Watson, Jordan Love, or others.

The new cast has not been decided yet. The production house has not found a new trio to replace Mahomes, Cousins, and Mariota.

They approached a few names and were given a red light. There have been a few sportspersons who have publicly denounced their chance of being in the series.

Eight starting QBs have backed down from the project till now. We will discuss them in the section below.

Justin Herbert recently inked a five-year $218.7 million deal and is the highest-paid NFL athlete. Having him on the series might be ideal.

His fourth year with the Los Angeles Chargers and the journey to carry the team to the second straight postseason, the challenges, and the hardship will make a good watch for the viewers.

Or, having Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud in their rookie year with Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans and taking over the starting role, the transition into professional life, and the process of getting along with the team and the overall structure will surely be loved by many.

Here are other probable QBs who can be seen in the second season of the series:

  1. Josh Allen
  2. Russell Wilson
  3. Gardener Minshew
  4. Anthony Richardson
  5. Trevor Lawrence
  6. Matthew Stafford

Who Rejected To Be Quarterback Season 2 Players?

Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow and Justin Fields rejected to be on the Quarterback Season 2.

The trio of Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota won’t return for the new season. The producers won’t be featuring the same faces for the new campaign.

They want to start fresh and give insight into the on and off-field life of more QBs. They are searching for new athletes to work with. So far, a long list of star QBs have publicly expressed their desire not to be a part of the production.

NFL players who rejected to be Quarterback Season 2 QBs:

  • Tua Tagovaiola – Miami Dolphins
  • Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys
  • Sam Howell – Washington Commanders
  • Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens
  • Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles
  • Geno Smith – Seattle Seahawks

Reasons

Geno Smith becomes the latest QB to renounce his participation in the show.

NBC Sports interviewed the athlete. When asked whether he is interested in featuring in the show, he replied, “No, I’m not.” But, he is optimistic about the show and appreciates how people got to see the behind-the-scene environment of the sportspersons.

The national NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe tweeted that Netflix pursued the Dolphins QB. The sportsperson was not interested at the moment.

He further explained that the series displays personal information. Tua feels uncomfortable seeing how the camera and crew follow Mahomes and other QBs in the first installment and reveal too much information.

The concern regarding family life and personal information freaks out Tagovaiola. Wolfe cited family privacy as the main issue for the player.

Likewise, Fields was concerned about the adverse effect of having cameras in the building. He said, “Just having cameras around the building, I think that might change the vibe of everyone. I just want to keep it natural and organic and really just focus on what’s going on in the building.”

Burrow feels he is not ready for the show as “the process of doing the show is very intense.” He is not prepared to speak publicly about his personal matters yet.

He added, “I would like to do it maybe a couple years down the road, but I don’t think now’s the right time.”

Howell and Jackson want to focus their time on improving their game. Their priority right now is to dedicate their time to the team.

Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts turned down the series for the second consecutive year. Hurts stated, “There’s a lot of journey to be told and there’s a lot left to unfold that will be told one day. That time will come.”

Meanwhile, Prescott mentioned that it’s not something he is interested in right now. He added that the team already has enough media coverage, which is adequate at the moment.

Quarterback Season 2 Josh Allen

Quarterback Season 2 Josh Allen can be the ideal and most probable person to feature as a star Quarterback. The popularity of the QB is equal to Mahomes.

The 2022 campaign was incredible for the Buffalo Bills. They finished 1st in AFC East with a 13-3 overall record. They defeated Miami Dolphins 34-31 in Wild Card Playoffs.

Unfortunately, they were halted in Divisional Playoffs by Cincinnati Bengals. They lost 10-27.

It was an impressive year for Allen, who started in 16 games and threw for 4,283 yards for 35 touchdowns. It was his third consecutive year with over 4K passing yards.

Recently, Josh was featured in Madden 24 as the cover athlete.

He is 6 feet 5 inches tall and has been a Pro Bowler in 2020 and 2022. The individual has all the ingredients of a star player.

His journey with the Bills searching for their first Super Bowl. They are one of the top contenders in the AFC division.

The series would receive great reception from the fans, with Allen starring as the leading man.
