Who was XXXtentacion? His Death, Killer, Ex-Girlfriend, Mother, Bio

Rap/Hip-Hop music has a wild reputation for violence and this is a deep reflection of the reality in the communities of those deeply involved in the genre, particularly the African American community. However, as the world evolved and the hip hop genre gained international traction, it began to shed its violent reputation. As it evolved beyond its violent lyrics, its audience broadened and soon it became one of the leading genres in the world. Arguably, Drake, Mac Miller, XXXtentacion and the rest of them have proven these facts.

Despite this, Ricardo went into music as part of Ricardo’s struggle to give up a life of crime and struggled to become perfectly clean and an upstanding citizen. He was arrested in July 2016 for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. After posting a massive bail, Onfroy continued with his plans to release his debut album. The album failed to release as XXXtentacion was arrested again after witnesses tampered with his pregnant girlfriend and damaged the battery.

While he was in prison, XXXtentacion released another single, Look at Me, which further increased his popularity following a minor controversy over his flow-style theft at the hands of hip-hop giant Drake. He received label offers while in prison and was eventually released on April 18, 2017. He released his debut album which peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 on August 17, 2017. At his death he had released two studio albums and a posthumous album is planned for December 2018.
