- Two women have been shot dead in an assassination in Sydney

Lametta Fadlallah was the former girlfriend of known Sydney crime figure Helal Safi, a drug dealer, who died in January of last year.
Fadlallah, a mother of 48, and Amneh al-Hazouri, also known as Amy, aged 39, were gunned down in their car in Hendy Avenue, Panania. Authorities think it was a targeted assassination because of Fadlallah’s previous relationship with Helal Safi.
Helal Safi was found dead in his apartment on Stapleton Street Pendle Hill in Sydney in January 2021. Neighbors had heard someone, presumably Safi, shouting for help around 4 AM.
When the paramedics arrived at the horrid scene, the emergency personnel found the 45-yer-old who weighed a hefty 200 kg unconscious and unresponsive. The emergency personnel couldn’t revive Safi and authorities established his apartment as a crime scene and seized several items, including drug paraphernalia, from the place.
Safi was a significant player in the Sydney underworld who associated with criminals and bikies, Australian slang for a biker gang. Safi was a member of the King Cross bikie who once survived being stabbed 42 times while in jail in 2010, which left him in a coma for five months.
According to the police, Safi had only survived due to his size. Safi had a lot of enemies, and it seems like a year later, the people who were once close to him are still paying the price for his sins.

Lametta Fadlallah is the former girlfriend of late King Cross bikie member Helal Safi and the former wife of Telopea St Gang member Shadi Derbas.
Fadlallah has been involved in the underground world for her entire adult life. An underground source who knew Fadlallah told the Daily Telegraph, “She ran with the bad boys, paid the price.”
The same source stated that she was very heavily invested in the gang life and would carry guns for the boys, give alibis when needed, and was killed precisely because of her relationship with gangsters. The source also described her as ruthless.
Fadlallah was involved in the gang life at least since the 1990s when she married Shadi Derbas, a vital member of the Telopea St Grang, while in her early twenties. Authorities caught and convicted Derbas in 2000 for hindering murder investigations over the death of two men shot dead by gangster Michael Kannan outside the Five Dock Hotel in 1998. The prominence of the Telopea St Gang gave rise to much of the street gang culture that is causing havoc on the streets of Western Sydney today. After Derbas, Fadlallah was in a relationship with Helal Safi in a weird couple-swap situation as Derbas is now married to Safi’s former girlfriend.
Fadlallah’s death signals a changing tide regarding the activities of Sydney’s street gangs. The assassination means the usual rule of no women and children has been completely thrown out. The police are very concerned.

Lametta Fadlallah and her friend and hairdresser Amy Hazouri were outside her house when they were shot with a dozen bullets.
Fadlallah and Hazouri were sitting in the backseat of a Toyota 4WD outside her house on Hendy St, Panania in West Sydney on a Saturday night. In the front were a 16-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man, who survived when another car pulled up and showered the backseat of Fadlallah’s car with a dozen bullets fired through the window.
Fadlallah and Hazouri were killed instantly, and although Fadlallah’s death was intentional, Hazouri was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. Hazouri was a simple hairdresser who worked at a salon in Bankstown. She also had a Tiktok page filled with clips of her smiling and dancing to Middle Eastern Music.

Though her exact relationship with Fadlallah is unknown, authorities think that they were friends and they were heading for a night out before the shooting occurred. The police stated that they would stop at nothing to catch the perpetrator.

Lametta Fadlallah’s assassination is the most recent one in a string of gang-related killings.
In the past two years, 14 execution-style killings have taken place in the country as various Middle Eastern crime gangs are vying for control of the drug trade that was disrupted because of the pandemic. Fadlallah was just the latest victim in this larger war.
The first killing took place on August 29, 2020, and since then there has been a new killing every other month or so with not even women, children, and families being spared. Police think this is the most brutal gang-related spree of crimes in the history of Australia.
