Joseph Czub,48, was a director of transportation at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake CSD. He was an integral part of the BH-Bl family.
His first and foremost commitment and promise were ensuring BH-BL students take and bring them back from school safely.
Prior to that, Czub demonstrated the commitment by working diligently with his staff to keep the transportation department running smoothly and their buses on the roads.
He was also regarded as the vision behind the district’s new transportation facility, who knew exactly the type of environment his mechanics, monitors, and drivers needed to be successful.
It is indeed devastating news of his sudden death for his staff in the transportation department and the leadership and supervisory team, and many of his friends across the district.

The cause behind Joseph Czub’s death is still unclear, but as per the letter sent to district families on Monday, Supt. Dr. Patrick McGrath said that Joseph, aka Joe, was involved in a tragic accident at his home on Sunday and passed away overnight.
In that letter, McGrath described Czub as an advocate, a problem solver, a friend, a leader, and a supporter and has expressed his deepest condolences to his wife and family.
Joseph Czub Family
Joseph Czub was married, having a small and happy family. However, the details on his wife and family haven’t been surfaced on the media yet.
At this moment, his family must be going through a difficult period following his terrible death.
Joseph Czub will always be remembered as a humble person who was behind the evergreen wreaths on the front of BH-BL buses each holiday season.
As a tribute and to honor him and his family, the district decided to place maroon and black bows on the front of each BH-BL bus.
Similarly, on November 16, Tuesday, the bows will be on buses and will provide regular transportation services.
