Javier Imbroda was a politician and basketball coach in Spain. In the ACB league, he has been training for 17 years. He was also the Spanish national coach & assistant with Lithuania between 2001 to 2002. He is the sixth most experienced coach in the league.
He began his professional career as a member of Primera B’s “Maristas Málaga,” a team. He was promoted to the ACB and directed until it merged with Caja de Ronda to create the current Unicaja de Málaga.
But, regrettably, he died at age 61, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Javier Imbroda announced to run for the Ciudadanos for Andaluca political party on July 13, 2018, and has served as a representative in the Andalusian Parliament for the province of Málaga since December 2, 2018.
Imbroda is also the brother of Juan José Imbroda, a politician from Melilla. Javier was also an assistant coach for the Lithuanian National Team, who won the Bronze Medal at the JJ. OO. in Barcelona 92.

A well-known coach and politician, Javier Imbroda, passed away at the age of 61 on Sunday, April 2, 2022. And his death cause is cancer.

Imbroda was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016, and while he was able to beat the disease, Imbroda relapsed last year. He died on Saturday afternoon.
Since being diagnosed with cancer again last year, Javier has not refused to answer questions regarding the future of his party or if he would run again as a Ciudadanos candidate – Imbroda has always been forthright. But he has done so with the qualifier that “he only cared about the day today.” “I don’t worry about what I’m going to do or where going to be in a year.”
On March 22, Imbroda made his last public appearance before the Government Council in the Sevillian town of Carmona.

Imbroda was a highly educated person. He received his Master’s degree in senior business management from the San Telmo Institute. Not only that, he was a doctor in Educational Sciences from the University of Malaga.
