Jack Alkhatib was an American high school football player. He used to attend the Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, South Carolina. Sadly, he has recently passed away.
The news was confirmed by the Dutch Fork Football team on their official Twitter handle. They wrote, “The pain we all feel is immeasurable. Please keep our team, our Dutch Fork family, and especially the family of our @AlkhatibJack lifted in prayers.”.
Jack Alkhatib was just 17 years old in age.
He was not only athletically successful but also academically blessed. As a fact, he was a National Honor Society student with a 3.8 GPA.
Jack Alkhatib Death Cause – What happened to The Football Player?
Jack Alkhatib cause of death is still not disclosed.
Footballer Jack Alkhatib reportedly died after collapsing during practice. Though he was immediately rushed to the local hospital, he lost his life shortly after.
Jack was a healthy 6 feet and 4 inches boy, who weighed around 305 lbs (138kg). He had no major underlying disease. Therefore, his untimely demise has shocked everyone.
The practice was secluded for 7 pm instead of the regular 4 pm on August 24. Some speucalte that high temperature might be the reason behind the death.
Back in 2016, a football player from River Bluff High School outside Lexington had died similarly after practice on a hot August day. The school is located in proximity to Dutch High school.
Nevertheless, the report is still on the way. The Richland County Sheriff Department is currently working with SLED to fully investigate the death of Alkhatib.
Update on Jack Alkhatib Parents and Family
Jack Alkhatib is now survived by his parents.
Till now, no Jack Alkhatib’s family members have come forward to comment on the matter. They might be devasted by the sudden loss.
The athlete was the pride of his family. Just a few months ago, he had received the first Division 1 offer from the Presbyterian College.
Jack used to separate himself from the crowd. He described himself as a hard working and resilient mindset person.
