Hannah Choi’s boyfriend Joel Mosso Merino has fled the state, and police are still looking for him and Hannah Choi.
Choi went missing on March 6. Choi was last seen at her home in Fairfax County’s Alexandria neighborhood the day before.
Police stated she was “considered endangered owing to mental and physical health concerns” during her abduction.

Choi and Merino shared a home in the 5300 block of Jesmond Street in Fairfax County’s Kingstowne neighborhood.
According to authorities, Hannah was last seen on March 5 at her residence.
Friends went to Choi’s house the next day, but she did not answer the door.
Choi also failed to show up for multiple appointments and could not be reached.
Friends alerted police, who conducted a check of her residence.
The property appeared to be in order, except for linen missing from one of the bedrooms.
Ex-boyfriend Joel Mosso Merino Charged With Murder
Hannah Choi’s ex-boyfriend has been missing, and the police could not find him.
Nevertheless, Hannah was last seen at her home in the 5300 block of Jesmond Street in Alexandria, Virginia, on March 5 at 7 a.m.
Two arrest warrants have been filed for Choi’s live-in ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Joel Mosso Merino.
He has been charged for second-degree murder and felony disposal of a body, according to Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis and Major Crimes Cyber and Forensics Bureau Chief Ed O’Carroll.
According to O’Carroll, investigators have “growing, convincing evidence” that Merino murdered Choi in the Alexandria home.
They also allege that he then dumped her body in Maryland’s Piscataway Park.
Friends reported her missing on March 6 after failing to show up for several appointments and could not be reached.
