Elisabeth Sauer is making headlines on the web after her shark attack video that took her life went viral. Sauer was on vacation with her husband.
A picture has been released of a swimmer tragically attacked by a shark at an Egyptian resort after telling her spouse she was only going back into the water “for a moment.”
The Austrian visitor’s local Kramsach Green Party has identified her as Elisabeth Sauer, a councilor from 1998 to 2004.
Sauer had been in Egypt for a month with her Egyptian partner, according to the Austrian embassy in Cairo, and was due to travel back to Austria today, according to Mail Online.
Who Was Elisabeth Sauer?
Since the moment she came in Kramsach, Elisabeth Sauer had been a committed Green. She was a trustworthy replacement for many years and was a councilor from 1998 to 2004.
On the opposite side of Sharm el Sheikh’s coastline, near Hurghada, the retiree was swimming in shallow water while wearing a snorkel and fins.
She is seen fighting to return to land in a horrifying video too violent to be published. The water is turning red with blood. No one intervened to assist as the onslaught shocked the terrified and shouting beachgoers.
Speaking of her age, Elisabeth was 68 years old when the tragic event took away her life. According to reports, the 68-year-old woman’s arm and leg were severed by the beast, and she eventually passed away from her injuries.
Egyptian authorities have now blocked a stretch of the Red Sea due to worries that the shark may still be in the area after the massacre.
Elisabeth Sauer Shark Attack Video Was Viral
After the incident, a horrific and disturbing video of Elisabeth Sauer’s shark attack was published, which immediately went viral on the web.
She apparently passed away after being taken to the Nile Hospital from “painful shock” and a heart attack. Red Sea Governorate officials are enthusiastic about tomorrow’s reopening.
In response to her attack, tourists reportedly jumped out of the water. Attempts were made to “distract the shark from the victim” by people from the coast and a nearby pier.
The shark appears to have eaten off the woman’s leg with a flipper at first, then bit off her hand and threw it into the corals while the woman was still using her hands to defend herself.
Following the event on Friday, according to local accounts, swimming, diving, snorkeling, and fishing were prohibited from the Sahl Hasheesh region to Makadi Bay for three days.
Then, on Sunday, a Romanian woman was found dead after her lifeless corpse was located not far from the scene of the initial attack. Within 600 meters of one another, they perished in different strikes.
