The body was found in the hunt for Salford resident Daniel Lee, according to Greater Manchester Police, who announced the discovery without conducting a formal identification procedure.

Police haven’t confirmed the death of the Manchester-based firefighter, but they have found a dead body around his last known location, and many people suspect it could be Daniel’s body.
Daniel, a watch manager with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, worked with greenwatch while posted at the Agecroft fire station in Salford. Early on Monday morning, he vanished. Just after 1:00 a.m., he was last seen crossing Bridge Street in front of Saint Mary’s Parsonage.

Police informed Lee’s family about finding a dead body in the Irwen river and requested them to come to the station to identify the body. However, they have decided to respect his family’s privacy by not mentioning more details.

According to a GMP spokeswoman, the remains were discovered in the Irwell River. Although a formal identification procedure has not yet been completed, Greater Manchester Police have revealed today that the body was found during the hunt for Salford, England, resident, 41-year-old Daniel Lee.
Emergency services were alerted to a portion of the River Irwell close to Woden Street in Salford early today. Photos were taken at the site show emergency vehicles close to the footbridge crossing the Irwell to connect Woden Street and Hulme Hall Avenue.

Daniel’s details haven’t been made available to the public, but it was known that he had two kids of his own and two more kids, his stepsons. His family is desperately waiting for good news that could indicate his location.
It was his daughter’s sixth birthday, his family revealed in an emotional appeal for his safe return on Wednesday. On CCTV, he was last spotted in Parsonage Gardens, and his phone was later found close to the hotel, according to reports. He had reportedly been at Mojos Bar.
Everyone close to him is trying to locate him, but none has succeeded. The description of Daniel includes his height of six feet and three inches, vast body, and short hair. In addition to white Adidas sneakers, light blue pants, and a navy t-shirt, he was last seen sporting a unique Fila jacket with bright blue spots on the front, a white stripe across the center, and black at the bottom.
