Police officers retrieved the bodies and sent them for an autopsy. As per the reports, Atul went to Dadda Ghat, which is located near the Tilwara police station, with his four friends.
Anurag Patel, who didn’t know how to swim, dived into the river and began to drown. Atul reportedly jumped into the river in an effort to save the drowning Anurag. However, both of them died.

Atul Patel Was Beaten During A Religious Procession
Shiv Patel’s son once made a headline following a fight during a religious procession of Shri Ram Mahayagya. The incident occurred in February 2023.
The BJP leader Shiv Patel and his son, Atul Patel, attended the religious event in Benikheda village. During the event, the father-son duo had an argument with organizing committee members.
The argument turned into a brawl when both sides began manhandling one another using canes. Atul Patel sustained injuries in the clash, and Madhotal police registered a case against Rohit Yadav and others.
According to Rina Pandey Sharma, SHO of the Madhotal police station, a police squad swiftly responded to reports of a disturbance during the Shri Ram Mahayagya procession in Benikheda hamlet and managed to calm things down.
Meanwhile, a sizable crowd of Rohit Yadav supporters gathered at the Madhotal police station and staged protests accusing the police of doing only half of their jobs.
Police have partially submitted complaints of Atul Patel and Shiv Patel due to the influence of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Moreover, protesters accused the BJP leader and his son of first attacking the organizing committee members.
The protesters demanded that a complaint be filed against Shiv and Atul Patel for disturbing a religious gathering and assaulting committee members.
