Alireza Fazeli Monfared was a military officer in Iran. However, due to the anti-LGBTQ military laws, he was exempted from his service.
As a result, Monfared returned back home and he was planning to seek asylum in Turkey. But before that, his half-brother found about his sexuality from the exemption card and beheaded him.

He was brutally murdered by his own family members. His half-brother and two cousins kidnapped him and beheaded him at Ahvaz of Khuzestan province.
What did Alireza do? He did nothing. He suffered all the pain because of his sexual preference. He was ousted by the military service and reportedly killed by his own brothers.

According to CNN, Alireza Fazeli Monfared was dating a man, Aghil Abiat. They were so in love and were planning their future together.
As a matter of fact, Monfared went to the store to switch his phone. He had plans to go to Tehran on the same night and then move to Turkey after the Covid-19 test.
However, for them, 4th May became the black day. Fazeli was murdered and separated from Aghil for a lifetime. As of now, Abiat is working to provide justice to his deceased lover.
