Who Shot Rapper Trouble?

Trouble was shot around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, June 5 at the Lake St. James Apartment complex on 50 St. James Drive in Conyers, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived on the scene and discovered Orr laying on the ground. He was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Investigators said no arrests have been made, but they have secured arrest warrants charging Jamichael Jones, 33, with murder. It’s unclear what Trouble and Jones’ relationship was like.

Def Jam issued a brief statement on Instagram, writing, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the children, loved ones, and Trouble fans.” A true representative of his community and a true voice for his city. Scoob, rest in peace.”

Several rappers, including fellow Atlanta rappers T.I. and Gucci Mane, have written condolence comments on their social media profiles.

Trouble has worked with several well-known acts, including Drake and The Weekend. He has also worked with Atlanta rappers Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, and Migos. Trouble dropped his first mixtape in 2011. It featured the song “Bussin,” which has over 2.7 million views on YouTube.
