In May 2021, Ransone posted a really personal and painful experience to his Instagram account. He disclosed that in 1992, his math teacher, Timothy Rualo, had assaulted him sexually.
In March 2020, Ransone reported the allegations to the Baltimore County police; regretfully, they made the decision not to file charges after conducting an investigation. The Baltimore school system is currently looking into the issue in an effort to come up with a remedy.
Ransone, who was 27 at the time, was struggling with significant personal issues, such as a heroin addiction and a $30,000 debt. But in 2007, he was able to alter his direction and achieve sobriety, which marked a significant turning point in his life.
