Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, which is set 200 years before the beginning of the end of the House Targaryen, hit the HBO screen on Sunday.
After the sequel’s first episode was released on HBO this Sunday, fans are already looking for details about the new faces the show has introduced to the GOT prequel.
Who Plays Mysaria on House Of The Dragon
Among them is Sonoya Mizuno, a Japanese-born British actress who plays Mysaria in House of the Dragon. Mysaria has garnered viewers’ attention following her brief appearance as the paramour of Daemon Targaryen, the King’s rogue brother, who shares an intimate scene with Mysaria in a brothel.
In the scene, Mysaria is seen comforting her beloved Daemon, who had been recently removed as the possible heir to the throne by his own King brother. He was cut out as the line of succession for the jokes he made while drunk in a brothel.
Daemon had been drinking in the brothel where he described Viserys deceased son as ‘heir for a day’. Following the report and Daemon’s statement, Viserys got furious, had him cut off from the line of succession, and later exiled him from the state. The King then named his daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen as the new heir to the Iron Throne.
For making insensible jokes about the infant rival Baleon Targaryen who died just an hour after the birth, Daemon was exiled as he left for Westeros with his mistress Mysaria.
As the book stated, ‘It was in the brothels of the city that Daemon found a paramour, who was a dancer named Mysaria whose looks led the prostitutes, who would call her the White Worm. The White later became, the rogue prince’s mistress.’
The second episode, which will release on August 28, titled The Rogue Prince suggests the show will follow the exiled prince. Based on the book, Mysaria seems to have control over Daemon as she appears to push him further towards the Iron Throne. As a result, we most likely see how Mysaria and Daemon’s relationship plays out.
Mysaria, who came to the city with nothing, and became a solid ally for its Prince Daemon, seems to have a fiery character that is sure to entertain fans.

Sonoya Mizuno is a big fan of the Game of Thrones; she couldn’t let this opportunity to play Mysaria in its prequel slip off. Her notable film appearances are Ex Machina, La La Land, Annihilation, and the television series Debs.
Furthermore, Sonoya is a model and a ballet dancer featured in Chemical Brother, a music video. Her roles in Crazy Rich Asians and Netflix’s original Maniac were decisive in shaping her career in how it has gotten her this far.
