Bandaogo was arrested two times before this incident. He was also sent to jail in the year 2018 for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. Besides that, six other people were seriously injured during the attack.
When his record was checked, he was found guilty of assault in a conjugal violence case in September 2019 in Longueuil, Quebec. The CTV network broadcasted a video showing the arrest of the suspect.
