A Great Neck resident lawyer, Jim Li, got killed by a woman named Xiaoning Zhang, who stabbed the lawyer repeatedly in the chest on Monday, March 14, 2022.
A Queen’s immigrants lawyer, Jim Li, 66, was at his office at 136-56 39th Ave in Flushing when 25 years old Xiaoning Zhang stabbed him with a knife at around 11:45 am. According to the police, the lawyer declined to take Zhang’s case, out of frustration, she took such extreme measures.
When police got a call about the assault, they immediately rushed to the location. When officers arrived, they encountered an unconscious and unresponsive body of the lawyer with stab wounds on his body and neck. Li immediately got taken by EMS to New York Presbyterian-Booth Memorable Hospital, where his death got declared.

The lawyer’s friends speculated that Zhang could be mentally unstable because she killed the lawyer merely because he refused to take up her case. On Friday, also she came to the office and made a scene. Later, police had to interfere and took her out of the office.
