1 Son of Rev. Louis Tisdale.
2 He is survived by his children; Tiffany, Danielle, Gabrielle, and Wayman II. He is also survived by a granddaughter.
3 He was the first Oklahoma athlete in any sport including football to have his jersey retired.
4 Three-time All-American at the University of Oklahoma in the mid-1980s.
5 He performed with The “Fifth Quarter Band” ; not the Fifth Quartet. The meaning of the bands name is that he played 4 quarters of basketball & playing with the band was the fifth quarter. Also, Wayman past today.(5-16-2009).
6 Met his wife, Regina, in April 1981 at church.
7 His father, Louis Tisdale, was a well-known pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Osage Expressway in Tulsa was named L. L. Tisdale Parkway in his honor after he died in 1997. Older brother Weldon took over as pastor of the church.
8 In August 2008, had part of his right leg amputated due to bone cancer. The prosthetic leg that he wore was crimson, a school color of the University of Oklahoma.
