“Vicky White is certain she loves Casey White because he makes her feel alive after decades of feeling staid, safe, and reliable,’ ” Jordan continued.

According to Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton, during phone chats when Casey was in a separate jail, the two formed a secret ‘special bond.’

In February, Casey was transferred from state prison to the county jail, where Vicky works, to stand trial on two counts of capital murder.

On the footage of the day of their escape, Vicky a correctional worker was seen on security camera leading Casey into a patrol car in an orange jumpsuit and shackles.

She had informed her supervisors and coworkers that she was taking him to court for a mental health examination. But authorities quickly learned that no such evaluation or hearing had been set for that day.

The pair abandoned the patrol cruiser and departed the state in a separate vehicle.
