The dumbest thing is when fans get so nervous that they treat you like shit. I’m so fascinated by it. I’ll be like, “Did ya enjoy the show?” and they’ll be like, “Eh.” They figure everyone is adoring you, so they’ll take the opposite approach. At the very end, they’re bummed that they acted the way they did, and it breaks my heart.
Stillwater was actually perfect for us.It pretty much screams unexcitement. The only thing you can do here is drink beer, have sex or write music. –On his hometown
I saw Bad Religion in Kansas City and it was amazing. Tightest band I’ve ever seen live.
I’d be up all night watching AC/DC, then jumping up on the table in my pajamas and pretending to be Bon Scott.
I went right out, got a bass and learned how to play it. I stayed inside the whole time during Christmas break until I could come out and join the band.
Yeah, and everybody who moves out to L.A. gets that Hollywood thing in their blood, and their second record always sounds like shit. And if we end up there,we take it back. –On Fame
