Apart from being American, Tommy is also of Italian descent from his father’s and half-Chinese ancestry from his mother’s side. During his teenage years he was avidly interested in soccer as well as cycling and motorsport. However, due to his “small stature” (he is 5′ 8″ – 1.73cm), he was shy and rather insecure of himself and in communication with girls in general. In order to overcome these “issues”, Tommy dived into the world of bodybuilding, crafting his body to perfection. Subsequently, he began working as a stripper and spent the next ten years in the business. During one of his stays in Los Angeles, California, Tommy met pornographic actor, director, producer and screenwriter Brad Armstrong, who became some kind of a mentor, and helped him to establish himself in the world of adult entertainment industry.

Tommy debuted in 2004, appearing in “Wet Teens 7” and after filming several dozen pornographic acts, scenes and videos in the course of the next two years, he was honored with the 2005 AVN Best Male Newcomer reward. The big breakthrough in his on-camera career occurred later in 2005 when he was cast for the role of Captain Victor Stagnetti in the adult movie “Pirates”, a role which he reprised in its sequel “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” in 2008. Subsequently, Tommy Gunn has managed to keep a continuous streak of acting engagements as well as awards, which helped him to add a notable amount of money to the total of his wealth.

In his career in the adult entertainment business so far, Tommy Gunn has appeared in 1,083 pornographic movies and videos, including notable performances in motion pictures such as “To Die For” (2006), “Heaven” (2009), “Underworld” (2013) as well as “Wolverine XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” (2013) and “American Hustle XXX Porn Parody” (2014), among plenty of others. In his professional portfolio, he also has numerous awards including 2006 Eroticline Award for Best International Actor, AVN and XRCO Male Performer of the Year in 2007 as well as two more Best Male Performer of the Year honors, NightMoves Award in 2008 and XBIZ Award in 2011. In 2009, Tommy was inducted into the NightMoves Hall of Fame, while in 2016 he was rewarded with an induction into the AVN Hall of Fame.
