Currently, it is made up of 32 teams which are divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The league has its headquarters in New York City.
NFL gets its money from three sources: NFL Ventures (merchandising), NFL Enterprises and the television contract. Regardless of how a team is doing, the league shares such revenue equally among teams.
As of February 2019, each team gains up to $255 million annually from the league’s television contract, then it increased to 150% from $99.9 million in 2010. Due to this, it has been considered a worthwhile venture to invest in a team.
