Who Is Taylor Haynes? Missing Woman Found Dead In Morgan County
A woman named Taylor Haynes had been missing from Hartselle for more than a month.
Taylor Renae Haynes, a 25-year-old Hartselle woman who had been missing for more than a month, was found dead in Trinity on Thursday.
According to authorities, two persons have been detained in the investigation into her disappearance.
The body was discovered close to Mason Drive, and Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn verified its identification. Since at least the beginning of July, Haynes has not been seen.
Haynes’ body was found by the Sheriff’s Office south of the Dollar General on Old Highway 24 along Mason Drive in a forested area.
Speaking on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office, Mike Swafford stated that on Thursday morning, the Sheriff’s Office deployed all-terrain vehicles and drones in that region and started searching in a “grid pattern,” finally coming across Haynes’ body.
Haynes was listed as missing on July 8 with the Decatur Police Department. In a Facebook post, the Sheriff’s Office said it took over the investigation after learning that she went missing from a property outside Decatur.
Officers started questioning several people on Monday, according to Swafford, who believes they may have been the last to communicate with Haynes.
“This 24-acre property in Trinity, a wooded location off Mason Drive, became a subject of interest from the talks and information in that residence,” Swafford said.
On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office carried out a search warrant at a residence on South Seneca Drive. Haynes had been residing at home, according to Swafford.
According to the facts published by the private investigation company, Haynes had neither a car nor a smartphone.
According to Swafford, the homeless at home on South Seneca Drive was taken into custody on Wednesday.
They were the last individuals to see her and be present at the house, according to Swafford.
According to Chunn, Haynes’ death’s cause is still being examined.
Haynes was last seen leaving home on South Seneca Drive in Trinity and traveling to the Dollar General on Old Highway 24 to fill out a job application, according to a private investigation company helping the family find Haynes.
While Dollar General could not confirm her arrival, Echo 7 Foxtrot Private Investigations found evidence that she applied for a job with numerous local companies on or around July 4.
According to an individual who lives on John Johnson Drive in Trinity, Haynes and a man she was with “resided in his yard a couple of nights, and at one point he drove the pair into Decatur to look for a job and try to get on food stamps, but they weren’t successful because neither had identification,” according to Echo 7.
According to the court document, Haynes had a child who was three years old.
