Taylor grew up in Tulsa in a big family, as he has six siblings, and two of them are in the band Hanson with him. When he was just 10 years old, he and his brothers Isaac and Zac started the band called Hanson Brothers. In the beginning the trio sang a cappella arrangements of such songs as “Johnny B. Goode”, “Rockin` Robin” and others. They also performed songs they wrote, and little by little they became more known in their hometown. They managed to record two demo albums; the first one came out in 1994, entitled “Boomerang”, and the next year “MMMBop”.

After the success of the two demo albums, the band signed a contract with Mercury Records. In 1997 came out the band’s major debut album, entitled “Middle of Nowhere”, which became a tremendous accomplishment for the young artists, reaching No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and achieving four times platinum status, which increased Taylor`s net worth by a large margin.

In 2000, they released their third album, entitled “This Time Around”, which achieved gold status, and reached No. 19 on the US Billboard 200 chart, adding further funds to Taylor`s net worth. With the beginning of 2000s, the band`s popularity began to decline, and although they released four albums more, none of them entered the top 20 on the US Billboard chart.
