Is Father Philip Forsythe Arrested?
Forsythe was detained on June 11, two days after Tammi alleged that she had been sexually assaulted while out with him on a night out in the crowded pubs and nightclubs that Brits frequent in the beach town of Malia.
He is currently detained in a jail in the Greek mainland city of Tripoli while the results of DNA tests are awaited.
Greek prosecutors have informed Forsythe that he will face trial in 18 months or maybe be freed depending on the outcome of the investigation. Forsythe has denied perpetrating the rape. He has only been legally accused of the offense under Greek law.

What Exactly Happened? -Crete Rape Case
Since the Kovid travel ban was abolished, Tammy and her father traveled overseas for the first time to celebrate Tammy’s birthday. On June 19, they were supposed to arrive back in the UK.
When CCTV evidence from the help bar showed Mr. Forsyth having “inappropriate sexual conduct” with Tammy just hours after the incident, Greek officials asserted that they had already arrested him.
When MailOnline got the CCTV tape, Tammy vehemently denied that her father had done anything improper, responding, “I was intoxicated out of my brain; I could barely move.” He’s attempting to come to get me so we can return to the hotel and put me to bed.
Tammi recalled that on the night of the assault, she and her father arrived at the help bar on Malia’s main strip at 1:30 a.m. and departed at 4:55 a.m. When he dropped the pints, he drank sambuca shots for most of the evening.
Tammy revealed that her father slipped into a dead-end alley after stumbling over a road back to their hotel because he was too drunk to get up.
According to Tammy, her fantasy holiday in Crete has become a nightmare. She is now squandering the family’s savings to support her father while she stays in Crete until she can come home and see her own four children again.
