Who Is Baltimore Police Officer Steven Angelini?
Steven Angelini is a forty-one-year-old Baltimore police officer with fourteen years of working experience. He has been part of the Baltimore Police Department since April 2006.
The resident of Danville Ave, Baltimore, joined the police department demanding changes in the police system after his father’s infidelity was made public in a case that led to him being abused at work. After submitting a report against the father’s ex-boyfriend, the police officer’s father was outed as gay in front of his whole workplace.
The exposure led to unwanted comments from his peers, prompting him to submit a complaint, along with compensation for punitive damages and a transfer.
Baltimore Police Officer Steven Angelini Arrested On Drug Charge
Police Officer Steven Angelini was charged with distributing cocaine and oxycodone in the Baltimore region, according to a federal complaint. He was arrested by the police department on July 13 and appeared in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.
The officer was found selling drugs in coordination with a motorcycle gang and was discovered supplying the pistol with additional expenses.
The motorcycle group in question is the Ryders Motorcycle Club, which has a reputation for dealing cocaine and other hallucinogens. According to prosecutors in the officer’s narcotics trial, the cop had a separate source who was slain while working for the motorcycle gang leader. The Baltimore officer utilized the homicide information to make a wager with the Infamous Ryders Motorcycle Club president. He appeared to be working with the leader of the club.
According to the federal complaint, the officer texted the biker president, offering to sell him 90 “pinks,” or oxycodone tablets, for $8 a pill and cocaine on January 6. He eventually sold the drugs for $100 and an ounce of cocaine.
According to the lawsuit, Baltimore Police delivered the bike gang boss a 9 mm AR-15 “ghost gun” for $300 and another eighth of cocaine in early April. He carried the pistol to the Coach House, where the Infamous Ryders used to sell narcotics. He again contacted the club president on April 26 to say he was at a gun store and agreed to buy additional ammo in return for another eighth of cocaine from the officer.
Steven Angelini Jail Sentence And Mugshot
Officer Steven Angelini would face a potential penalty of twenty years in federal prison for conspiracy and oxycodone distribution and a minimum of five years and up to life in federal prison for possessing a handgun in furtherance of a narcotics trafficking felony if convicted.
The average sentence for a federal offense is less than the maximum penalty. A federal district court judge will impose a sentence after considering the United States Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory circumstances.
Due to the high level of public interest in the drug case, the mugshot of the alleged cop has not been made public by the Baltimore police department.
After the officer was found guilty in the drug case, he was suspended from his job and taken into police custody. The detention of the Baltimore officers is scheduled for July 14, 2022.
