Simon has come a long way to become a popular writer and crime correspondent; he spent his childhood in Lincoln and Littlehampton, where he went to Littlehampton Community School. Following his matriculation, Simon enrolled at the University of Kent at Canterbury, where he started honing his journalistic skills, by joining the college radio station. He then transferred to University College, Cardiff, from which he obtained a degree in broadcast journalism.

Simon’s career started in 1996 when he joined the BBC as a trainee, and after a couple of years he became a part of ITV, where he gained experience highly-needed for his further career. He returned to BBC in 1999 as a crime correspondent for South West of England, and since then has been working in the position, increasing his wealth by a large margin. He has covered a number of high-profile crime acts, including the attempt to ground the container ship The Napoli in east Devon, and also the flooding of Boscastle, and the attempt to set off a bomb in a restaurant in Exeter, among many other criminal activities.

His position and experience inspired him to start writing a novel series, featuring the crime reporter Dan Groves, nicknamed The TV Detective, and his police detective colleague Adam Breen.

The first book came out in 2006 entitled “A Popular Murder”, published by a print-on-demand company. The book received positive reviews, and so Simon continued to write, and in 2008 published his second book “The Death Pictures”; the book was picked up by Accent Press, and after a successful publication in February in England, the book also saw the light of day in the USA in October the same year. The same year in September, Simon released the third book “Evil Valley”, followed by “The Judgement Book” in September 2009. He has written and published two more books “The TV Detective”, and “The Balance of Guilt”, both in 2010, which only further increased his net worth. The sales of his first two books added a considerable amount to Simon’s wealth.

Following the success of his books, Simon has also written a script for the play “An Unnecessary Murder”, which will premiere at the Barnfield Theatre in Exeter. The play has a charitable profile, and all profit will be given to Hospicare.

He is also working on audio novels of which he will be the narrator, and will also launch e-book versions of the popular books, which will also increase his net worth.

When it comes to his personal life, Simon is married to Jess, but there is no other information about this famous writer’s private affairs.
