Simon was an executive chef at Hilton Adelaide for over a decade. Apart from the culinary business, he is an ambassador for Animals Asia Foundation, The Animal Welfare League, SA, Premium Food and Wine from South Australia’s Clean Environment, and many others.

Simon Bryant and Maggie Beer are professional partners who worked on the Australian television series, The Cook and the Chef.
The show, filmed in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, aired on ABC1. Since the release on 8 February 2006, the two worked together for four years.
In 2009, the pair announced the end of the series with the finale on 16 September 2009. They hosted a few guests, including Chris Abbot, Peter Cundall, Dominic Scarfo, Rick Stein, and Tetsuya Wakuda.
Even after the termination of their on-screen time, they remain good friends. Their first reunion came in August 2020 after more than a decade. Reportedly, Simon visited Maggie’s Farm Eatery restaurant in Nuriootpa.
Next year in June, the two got back together to work on a project for Maggie Beer Foundation. It was to film videos on their online training modules. Both of them shared it on their official Instagram.
Besides that, neither have posted anything together. Nonetheless, the two seem to be great friends.

Chef Simon Bryant did not ever get married as he never shared about having a wife and family throughout his whole career.

Throughout her illustrious career of over five decades, Maggie has received many awards and honors. She became the Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2022 Australia Day Honours. Likewise, she is also the 2010 Senior Australian of the Year.
Although Simon’s love life is a mystery to all, it isn’t so for his professional partner Maggie. She is a married woman. Her husband is Colin Beer, with whom she exchanged the sacred vows on 17 January 1970. The couple has two daughters – out of them, the eldest died on 14 February 2020.
